The "We Need to get out of Oregon" Trail
In this role reversal of the classic game The Oregon Trail, the player is tasked with leaving Oregon in order to see their mother in time for her birthday. In addition to the change in direction, the game also takes place in the year 2020, as opposed to in the 19th century. While you won't have to worry about dying of dysentery, you will have to worry about gas, tires, and because it wouldn't be 2020 without it, COVID-19. Can you make it to your mother's house in Missouri in time? (You probably can, this game isn't that hard). Enjoy the music, try to ignore the bugs the game has, and have fun in this text-based adventure!
Controls:
- Use the mouse to navigate everything
- Numbers can be entered with the keyboard or the mouse
- Left-Click on buttons to use them
- Now mobile friendly!

The "Generic text thingy!" screen is unskippable. Please fix.
Would be great to have the cost be deducted on its own, I suck at maths ahaha!
The shop was originally easier to understand, but it produced a game-breaking glitch where your money would reduce like crazy for no reason, so I had to redo the shop system. Sorry! If you're interested, here is a screenshot of the old version of the shop that I sent to a friend during the jam.
